BBQ Ham Sandwiches are a family favourite. They are made with tender pieces of ham simmered in a barbecue sauce that isn't quite homemade. For the best 30-minute dinner, put it on buns and top with provolone cheese.
– BBQ Sauce– 3/4 cup water– 1/2 cup ketchup– 1/2 cup brown sugar bbq sauce– 1/4 cup light brown sugar– 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar– 4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce– 1 teaspoon yellow mustard– ½ teaspoon garlic powder– ½ teaspoon onion powder– Ham– 1½ pounds thinly sliced deli honey ham– 1 tablespoon cornstarch– 1 tablespoon cold water– Serving– 6-8 hamburger buns or bread of choice– 6-8 slices non-smoked provolone cheese

Whisk all the ingredients for the BBQ sauce together in a small bowl. Take the ham apart and put it in a big pot with a lid.

Put the BBQ sauce mix on top of the ham.
Warm it up over medium-high heat until it starts to bubble and boil a little.

It will take five minutes. Once it starts to boil, turn down the heat to medium or medium-low and put the lid on top of the pan.

Let it cook slowly for 10 to 12 minutes. In a small bowl, use a fork to mix the cornflour and cold water together. It should be added to the pan and stirred constantly until the sauce gets thick.

Put the BBQ ham on the hamburger buns with or without cheese. Use spoons to do this. The buns and cheese can also be toasted in the oven for a few minutes under the grill (see notes for tips).
