How to make Apple Slaw for Fall: a simple side dish that goes with everything!

– 4 cups shredded Napa cabbage – 2 cups shredded red cabbage – 1 carrot, shredded – 1 medium golden beet, shredded – 1 apple, cut into matchsticks* and tossed in lemon juice to prevent browning. Don't peel the apple. – 1/3 cup dried cranberries – 1/3 cup pepita – 1/3 cup sunflower seeds – 1/3 cup spiced pecan CREAMY CIDER DRESSING – 1/3 cup mayonnaise – 3 Tbsp cider vinegar – 2 tsp brown sugar – 1/2 tsp salt – 1/2 tsp celery seed



Combine all of the ingredients for the slaw in a large bowl and toss evenly. Mix all of the ingredients for the dressing together with a whisk, and then taste it.

It's possible that you needed to add extra salt or sugar. Add more mayonnaise to the dressing if you want it to be more substantial.

Step 3

Mix dressing into slaw. The slaw can be served immediately or refrigerated for several hours.
