Valentine Oreo Brownie Bars With Chocolate Ganache Glaze recipe

These Valentine's Day Brownie Bars are sweet and fun for your loved ones! Fudgy brownies with crunchy Oreo cookie layers and easy-to-eat chocolate ganache will please anyone. 

– 8 oz chocolate chips  – 7 tablespoon olive or coconut oil or melted butter – ¾ cup muscovado light or dark sugar  – 2 large eggs  – 2 teaspoon vanilla extract or 1 teaspoon vanilla paste – ¼ cup cocoa powder – 3 tablespoon cornstarch – 3 tablespoon All Purpose Flour – ½ teaspoon salt – 26-30 oreos  – Cake heart sprinkle

Parchment a 9-inch square baking pan. To easily remove the brownies, leave a few inches of parchment overhang on the sides.

Pour chocolate into a double boiler. Heated a medium saucepan with a few inches of water. Place olive oil and chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl over the simmering.

Take the bowl off the pot and stir until all chips are melted and smooth. Beat eggs with an electric mixer for 2-3 minutes in a medium bowl until bubbly.

Place half the brownie batter in the pan. Spread batter with a spatula and top with oreos. Another layer of brownie batter, even out, and bake 20-25 minutes.

Toothpick inserted into centre should be slightly moist and with breadcrumbs, not dry, indicating overbaking. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to finish cooling.

Make chocolate ganache glaze. Add chocolate chips to a heatproof medium bowl. Save. Lightly boil heavy cream in a small saucepot.

A thickening will occur. Spoon over brownie batter and spread evenly. Top layer with crushed oreos and your favourite valentine sprinkles.

The pieces are uniform and cut evenly. Bring to room temperature and melt. A scoop of vanilla ice cream for a milkshake.
