Three Bean Turkey Chili Recipe

The 3-Bean Turkey Chilli is a dish that is not only flavorful but also hearty and satiating. 

– 1 Tbsp avocado oil – 1 medium-sized red onion or yellow onion – 1 green bell pepper – 4 large cloves garlic minced – 1 lb ground turkey – 3 Tbsp chili powder – 2 tsp dried oregano – 2 tsp cocoa powder – 1 28-oz can fire roasted diced tomatoe – 2 cups chicken broth or beef broth – 1 (14-oz) can black beans, drained – 1 (14-oz) can kidney beans, drained – 1 (14-oz) can pinto beans, drained – 1 (7-oz) can diced green chilis (mild) – 1 Tbsp pure maple syrup or brown sugar – 1 tsp sea salt to taste – ¼ tsp black pepper to taste – ½ cup red wine optional*

In a Dutch oven or stock pot, heat avocado oil over medium-high heat. Sauté the chopped onion for 5–8 minutes, stirring regularly, until softened.

Sauté garlic and bell peppers for 2–3 minutes until fragrant.Make little bits of pounded turkey with a spatula. Add chilli powder, cocoa powder, dried oregano, and sea salt.

Include chicken stock, diced tomatoes, beans, and canned green chilies. Add red wine now.Lid the saucepan and boil the chilli.

Reduce to medium heat to a moderate boil and simmer, stirring regularly, for 30 minutes (longer is better for flavour).
