The Best Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Coconut sugar is used to make the best gluten-free chocolate chip cookies ever. A really yummy treat! 

– 1 stick 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened* – 1/3 cup coconut sugar** – 1 1/2 Tbsp pure maple syrup – 1 large egg – 2 tsp pure vanilla extract – 1 cup gluten-free flour – 3/4 tsp baking powder – 1/4 tsp sea salt + more for sprinkling – 1 cup sugar-free chocolate chips

Cream the butter, coconut sugar, pure maple syrup, and pure vanilla extract together in a stand mixer until everything is well mixed.

Add the egg and beat well.Put in the baking powder, sea salt, gluten-free flour, and cinnamon, if you're using it.

As the speed goes from medium-high to high, keep beating until a thick dough forms. Beat in the chocolate chips until they are well mixed in.

Put the dough in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before you start heating the oven. Fire up the oven to 375 degrees F before you start baking the cookies.

Place the dough on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper or covered with cooking spray. Bake for 8 to 11 minutes (I always go with 9 minutes).

Take it out of the oven and sprinkle it with sea salt. Let cookies cool down for at least five minutes before you eat them.
