For Cookies & Cream Oreo Brownies, you start with the best brownie recipe you can find, then add Oreo cookies and Hershey Cookies & Cream chocolate bars on top.
– 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, melted– 2 cups granulated sugar– 4 large eggs– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract– 6 tablespoons cocoa powder– 2 cups all-purpose flour– 20 Oreo Cookies– 8 (1.55 oz each) Hershey Cookies & Cream bars
Ingredient
Warm the oven up to 350°. Spray cooking spray on a 9x13 baking dish and line it with parchment paper or tin foil (lightly spray the tin foil if you use it).
Step 1
Step 1
Instructions
With a wire whisk, mix the melted butter and sugar together in a large bowl until they are well mixed. One egg at a time, add it to the batter and mix it in with a whisk before adding the next egg.
Step 2
Step 2
Cocoa powder and vanilla extract should be added. Use a stir to mix. Add the flour and mix it in until there are no more flour streaks.
Step 3
Step 3
Cover the bottom of the pan with half of the brownie batter. Spread the batter out more easily if you drop spoonfuls of it all over the pan instead of putting it all in the middle.
Step 4
Step 4
Add the 20 Oreo cookies and press them into the batter. Use the other half of the brownie batter to cover it. Again, put spoonfuls of batter on top of the cookies, just like the pictures in the post show.
Step 5
Step 5
Spray cooking spray on the back of a stainless steel dinner spoon and then use it to help spread the batter out. Take 23 to 30 minutes to cook.
Step 6
Step 6
If your oven cooks quickly like mine, check to see if yours are done in 23 minutes. If you stick a toothpick in the middle, the brownies should come out clean.
Step 7
Step 7
They should look puffy and be slightly pulled away from the pan's edges. Put the eight Hershey bars on top of the brownies as soon as you take them out of the oven.
Step 8
Step 8
After about 15 minutes, use a spoon to spread the chocolate out. Allow the brownies to cool all the way down. The chocolate frosting is going to set and get hard. It takes about an hour to two hours.
Step 9
Step 9
Cover leftovers and leave them at room temperature. Even when it's at room temperature, the frosting will stay hard.
