This creamy whitefish dip recipe is a standard way to start a summer party. All you need is a pitcher of drinks.
– 8 ounces cream cheese. I use brick style cream cheese, but you can use whipped if you prefer. – 1/4 cup sour cream – 1/4 cup mayonnaise – 1/4 cup fresh dill – 1 Tbsp creamed horseradish, or more to taste. – 1 tsp onion powder – 1 Tbsp lemon juice – 8 ounces smoked whitefish, skin and bones removed. – salt and fresh cracked pepper to taste
Mix the mayo, sour cream, dill, horseradish, onion powder, and lemon juice in a food processor.
Pulse/process until cream cheese is smooth and lump-free. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Blend again and scrape dip into basin.
I hand-fold smoked fish into my dip base. The dip has wonderful texture and fish pieces. While adding fish, break it into large parts.
Stir gently to mix. You can combine the fish with the dip in step 1 for a smooth texture. Keep the dip cold until serving.
