Easy Easter Cookie Bars Recipe

Simple, semi-homemade Easter Cookie Bars with 5 ingredients will satisfy any sweet tooth. Crispy outside, soft and chewy inside, thick with chocolate chips and pastel Easter M&Ms. These dessert bars are foolproof.   

– 1 bag (17.5 oz) sugar cookie mix – 1 bag (17.5 oz) chocolate chip cookie mix – 2 large egg – 1 cup (2 sticks) salted butter softened – 1 cup Easter M&M'

Warm the oven up to 325° F. Spray cooking spray or line a 9x13 baking pan with parchment paper to get it ready.

To a large bowl, add the dry chocolate chip cookie mix and sugar cookie mix. Mix them together with a whisk.

Add eggs and softened butter. Beat a stand mixer with the paddle attachment or an electric hand mixer on medium speed for 2-3 minutes (increase speed as needed) to make smooth cookie dough.

Mix in 3/4 cup Easter M&Ms. Place the cookie dough in the pan and sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup Easter m&ms on top.

Step 4

Bake for 35–45 minutes until a toothpick comes out with crumbs (no wet batter) and the edges are set and golden brown. The centre should remain pale.

After baking, let the cookie bars cool completely before cutting into squares (1-2 hours).
