Dodgers' injury list grows with Blake Treinen, Brusdar Graterol

The IL for Wednesday's debut in Seoul against the Padres included Blake Treinen with a bruised lung and Brusdar Graterol with right shoulder pain.

A line drive hit Treinen in the chest at Camelback Ranch on March 9, causing a right rib contusion. X-rays showed a damaged lung and no ribs bent.

Treinen went to South Korea with the squad in hopes of pitching in the inaugural Seoul Series, but he didn't.

Graterol struggled in spring camp with hip and shoulder pain. On March 2, he played one Cactus League game and skipped South Korea.

Five expected pitchers could miss the season. Spring training 60-day ILs for Tony Gonsolin, Clayton Kershaw, and Dustin May cleared the 40-man roster.

Buehler's spring trial innings were slow after Tommy John and flexor tendon surgery. He'll gradually enter the majors in April as spring training.

Spring slowed IL opener Emmet Sheehan. Body and shoulder discomfort delayed Sheehan's spring training, which is concerning.

Right forea irritation is on his IL. Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic, who was at Camelback Ranch all spring and is in Seoul with the team, downplayed that fear.
