– 1 stick (1/2 cup) salted butter, at room temperature – 1/2 cup dark brown sugar – 1/4 cup maple syrup – 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter – 1 egg – 1 tablespoon vanilla extract – 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour – 1 teaspoon baking soda – 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt – 15 mini Reese’s – 15 chocolate milk duds – 1 cup milk chocolate chips, melted – Mini candy eyes – Broken pretzel twists

Heat the oven to 350°F. Parchment a baking sheet. Beat butter, brown sugar, and peanut butter for 2 minutes in a bowl until frothy.

After beating in maple syrup, add egg and vanilla. Make creamy. Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Shape dough into 1 tablespoon balls.

On prepared baking sheet, space 2 inches apart. Bake 6-7 minutes. Flatten the cookies by tapping the baking sheet twice on the counter after removing it from the oven.

Return the biscuits to the oven for 3 more minutes until the sides are barely setting but the centre is still doughy. While on the baking pan, they will cook slightly.

Immediately top each cookie with an upside-down peanut butter cup. One milk dud (see images). Let chill. Spoon melted chocolate into a sandwich bag and cut the corner.

Draw 3 legs from each side of the Reese's cup. Attach two chocolate-dotted eyeballs to each Milk Dud. Set until chocolate hardens. Chocolate-coated pretzel bits can be used as legs.
