Cajun Shrimp with Tomato Alfredo Pasta

This easy Cajun Shrimp with Tomato Alfredo Pasta combines creamy Tomato Alfredo Sauce, delicious pasta and perfectly sautéed Cajun-seasoned shrimp! It's delicious and takes under 30 minutes to make with a few ingredients!  

– 12 ounces pasta – 12 ounces large shrimp – 1 tablespoon cajun seasoning – 2 tablespoons olive oil – 2 tablespoons butter – 1 small onion – 2 cloves garlic  – 15 ounces crushed tomatoe – ¾ cup heavy cream – 1 ounce Parmesan cheese – ¼ teaspoon salt  – ¼ teaspoon pepper – 3 leaves fresh basil

Spice the prawns with cajun seasoning while the pasta cooks. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil on medium-high.

Add the prawns and cook until pink on both sides, about two minutes. Remove the prawns from the skillet and set aside.

Heat the skillet over medium heat with the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil and butter until butter melts.

Add the chopped onion and garlic and cook for 3 minutes until soft and translucent.

Add crushed tomatoes to the skillet, bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add heavy cream and Parmesan to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Include the cooked pasta and prawns in the skillet, making sure to thoroughly combine everything.

Serve right away after adding more Parmesan cheese and fresh basil as garnish.
