Brown Sugar Cashew Blondies Recipe

Brown Sugar Cashew Blondies are sure to be a hit with their nutty, caramel-like taste. These chewy blondies are great for any event! 


– 1 & 1/2 cups (180g) all-purpose flour – 1 teaspoon baking powder – 1 teaspoon salt* – 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened – 2 cups (400g) packed light brown sugar – 2 large egg – 1 tablespoon vanilla extract – 1 cup (150g) chopped unsalted roasted cashews*

Warm the oven up to 350°F. Grease a baking dish that is 8 inches square. 

Step 1


The flour, baking powder, and salt should all be mixed together with a whisk. Put away. 

Step 2

Put the electric mixer on medium speed and beat the brown sugar and butter together until they are smooth.  

Step 3

One at a time, add the eggs and mix until everything is well combined. Add the vanilla and stir. 

Step 4

Slow down the mixer and add the flour mixture slowly, mixing until everything is well combined. Add the cashews and mix them in. 

Step 5

Spread batter evenly in prepared pan. Bake 35–40 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out with moist crumbs. Cool before cutting bars.
